Activating Maya Credit: Who Qualifies and How

Contents

Maya Credit activation runs entirely inside the Maya app: eligibility is computed from your account, the offer appears if you qualify, and activation is a few screens. This page lists who qualifies, the activation flow, and the two checks to make before your first purchase. Checked September 2026.

Who qualifies for activation

Maya does not publish a hard checklist the way loan apps publish age gates. Activation is eligibility-based, computed from your Maya account: a fully verified account with usage history is the visible prerequisite, since the credit line is a Maya Bank product tied to your account. The 2026 limit raise to ₱50,000 applies to users whose eligibility supports it; new or dormant accounts see smaller lines or no offer at all.

The activation flow, step by step

Four steps, in order.

  1. Verify your Maya account fully — ID and selfie inside the app. An unverified account sees no credit offer.
  2. Use the wallet. Activity builds the eligibility picture; dormant accounts do not.
  3. Look for the Maya Credit offer in the app, and open it.
  4. Read the disclosure before accepting: your limit, the cycle terms, and the pricing for your account. Screenshot it; the in-app terms are the only published quote, and our Maya Credit guide explains the product around them.

Two checks before your first purchase

First, the 30-day cycle: paying within up to 30 days refreshes your limit, so set the reminder before spending, not after. Second, the merchant scope: the line works at QR and online checkouts that accept Maya Credit — not everywhere, and not for cash. If your need is cash, the loan app requirements table shows the disbursement apps instead.

Frequently asked questions

How do I activate Maya Credit?

Inside the Maya app: verify your account fully, build some wallet activity, then open the Maya Credit offer if it appears. Eligibility is computed from your account; there is no form.

Who can activate Maya Credit?

Maya Bank customers with verified, active accounts whose eligibility supports the line. The 2026 update raised the ceiling to ₱50,000 for qualifying users.

Why do I not see Maya Credit in my app?

Eligibility has not opened for your account yet. Keep the account verified and active, and check again; there is no way to request the offer manually.

The bottom line for borrowers

Activation is eligibility, not paperwork: verify the account, use the wallet, and read the disclosure before your first financed purchase. The Maya Credit guide covers the product in full, verified September 2026.
