The Moca Moca loan app is operated by Copperstone Lending Inc., a lending company whose SEC Registration No. 2021050012959-04 matches entry No. 13 of the regulator's recorded online lending platforms list, and which publishes Certificate of Authority No. 3454 in its app listing and corporate site. It lends ₱2,000 to ₱50,000 for 91 to 180 days at a maximum APR of 20%, with a service fee of 5% to 10%. We verified the record, recomputed the listing's loan example, and untangled what matters most here: fakes are stealing the name.

Is Moca Moca legit? What the SEC records show
Yes, on paper. Copperstone Lending Inc. holds registration number 2021050012959-04, and the platform appears on the SEC's recorded online lending platforms list dated January 26, 2026, under entry No. 13. That entry carries seven platforms, Pesoforrest, Pococash, Blue Peso, Moca Moca, Peso Buffet, Load Cash, and Quickla, recorded on July 6, 2021 and August 5, 2021. Full breakdown: our page on whether Moca Moca is SEC registered.
One nuance deserves daylight. The registration number checks out against the SEC's own list, the strongest confirmation available. The CA number is different: no public registry of lending-company CA numbers exists, so we log 3454 as the number the company publishes in its listing and on its site. Match the company name against the official list, not the badge on a website. Every licensed name is in our SEC registered lending apps list.
The record also has a history. On December 17, 2025, the SEC lifted previously imposed penalties on certain financing and lending companies and confirmed Copperstone's active registration. The company reasserted its status on June 18, 2026, and on August 27, 2026 coverage described the SEC greenlighting MocaMoca's authorization, weeks after the moratorium lift under Memorandum Circular 20 of 2026. Registration is current as of our check.
How to borrow from Moca Moca: 4 steps
The Moca Moca loan app follows the standard Philippine flow, with one twist: fake channels exist, so step one matters most.
- Install only from the official channel. The package is com.mocamoca on Google Play, "found only on Google Play Store" per the listing. No official iOS version exists; any iPhone app using this brand is unregistered per the SEC advisory.
- Register and get your ID ready. The listing advertises a 3 to 5 minute application, running 24/7. Requirements: Filipino citizenship, 18 or above, one valid ID, a stable job or source of income. No collateral, no income proof.
- Choose an amount from ₱2,000 to ₱50,000 within your offered limit. Read the disclosed rate (up to 20% APR), term (91 to 180 days), and your fee percentage (5% to 10%) before confirming.
- Wait for the decision and the money. The listing claims you "get your cash in 5 minutes," without detailing payout channels. Repayment runs through GCash, Maya, ShopeePay, major banks, and pawnshop and convenience chains.
The real cost of a Moca Moca loan: a worked example
The Google Play listing carries the only concrete price the lender publishes:
| Figure | Value (Google Play example) |
|---|---|
| Principal received | ₱5,000 |
| Term | 180 days |
| Interest rate | 10% APR |
| Service fee | 10% (₱500), charged upon repayment |
| Interest | ₱246 |
| Total repayment | ₱5,746 |
| Monthly payment | ₱957 (six installments) |
Source: the MocaMoca Google Play listing, accessed August 28, 2026.
Now the part no listing spells out. Our methodology turns that example into a simple annual rate: (5,746 − 5,000) ÷ 5,000 × 365 ÷ 180 × 100% ≈ 30%. Call it about 30% per year on the listing example, our estimate. Then the worst case inside the published band: 91 days at the maximum 20% APR with the maximum 10% fee. Interest comes to about ₱249, the fee ₱500, total roughly ₱5,749, or about 60% annualized. Our estimate, built only from the listing's own maxima.
The fee is the story. Charged once per loan on repayment, a 10% fee alone adds about 20 points of annualized cost on a 180-day loan and about 40 points on a 91-day one, before a peso of interest. Longer terms dilute it. Short terms get eaten by it.
One structural note. Our standard pricing test is ₱5,000 for 30 days. Moca Moca cannot serve it. The shortest term is 91 days. If you need money for one month only, this is not your app. Our loan calculator stress-tests any offer against your budget, and a deeper breakdown follows on our Moca Moca interest rate page.
Pros and cons, without the marketing
Pros
- Low rate cap for the niche. A 20% maximum APR sits far below the 30% to 130%+ range common in this market.
- Long terms. Up to 180 days in monthly installments softens the cash-flow hit.
- Thin paperwork. One valid ID, no collateral, no income proof.
- Published fee range. The 5% to 10% service fee is disclosed upfront, and the listing promises no other fees.
- Wide repayment rails. E-wallets, five major banks, pawnshops, convenience stores.
- Fast claim. 3 to 5 minute application, 24/7, payout advertised "in 5 minutes."
Cons
- The fee rides on top of interest. Up to 10% of principal per loan; about 40 annualized points at the shortest term, by our math.
- An active fake wave. Three impersonating websites and a fake iOS app forced an SEC advisory in May 2026. Impostors sit between this brand and your data.
- Payout is a black box. No channel details, and the 5-minute money claim is unverified marketing.
- Android only. No official iOS version exists at all.
- No short bridge. The 91-day minimum rules out one-month borrowing.
What to know before you apply
Straight answer: we found no borrower reviews we can verify for this app. Our editorial policy forbids inventing quotes or drawing stars. So this section carries neither. Here is what to know before you apply instead:
- Read the in-app disclosure before confirming: rate, term, your exact fee percentage, total repayment. It is the only place all four appear together.
- Screenshot that disclosure. If terms ever get disputed, it is your record.
- Borrow only what you can repay within 91 to 180 days. The fee is charged upon repayment, so a rollover restarts the cost math.
- Anything through the fake channels was never Moca Moca. Copperstone confirmed the transactions behind the advisory complaints do not exist in its systems. Official entry points: Google Play (com.mocamoca) and mocamocatech.com.
Red flags: the fake wave wearing the Moca Moca name
Being registered did not protect this brand. On May 18, 2026, the SEC's FinLenD arm named fraudulent websites operating under the MocaMoca and Copperstone names: buklodservices.com, flowforthventures.com, and jitsconstruction.com. It also flagged an unregulated iOS application allegedly using the MocaMoca branding, and the commission asked the NTC for help taking the channels down. I log every advisory for our SEC advisories tracker. This one stood out. The target was a registered lender, not a scam pretending to be one.
The complaints tied to the fakes describe fraud, phishing, abusive collection, and threats. Copperstone has confirmed those numbers and transactions do not exist in its systems. The victims dealt with impostors. The fake iOS listing, "Moca Moca - fast peso loan app," is gone from the App Store; our September 16, 2026 check found nothing live under the brand.
How to keep the real one straight:
- Store. The only official app is com.mocamoca on Google Play. No iOS version exists.
- Domains. Only mocamocatech.com and copperstoneph.com are official. The three domains above are the fakes.
- Registry. Entry No. 13 of the SEC's platforms list names Copperstone Lending Inc. A logo proves nothing without the name match.
- Money direction. A real lender sends you money. Anyone asking for an upfront "release fee" is a fake, whatever the branding says.
If the channel you found matches none of these, treat it as one of the illegal loan apps and do not feed it your ID.
Alternatives to compare before you apply
Four starting points, all SEC-registered.
- MoneyCat (Moneycat Financing Inc., CA No. 1254): ₱500 to ₱20,000, first loan at 0% interest and no processing fee; repeat borrowing runs up to 11.9% per month.
- Mabilis Cash (Mabilis Cash Financing Corp., CA No. 1327): ₱2,000 to ₱90,000 if you need a higher ceiling; note the store listing's disclosed maximum of 131% APR.
- PesoLoan review: ₱1,000 to ₱100,000 when you need a higher ceiling, with a published 20% yearly interest cap; the fee table is unpublished, so read the offer screen.
- Low-interest loan apps: Moca Moca's 20% cap is low on interest, but total cost includes the fee. Our real-APR ranking shows who charges least.

Frequently asked questions
Is Moca Moca SEC registered?
Yes. Moca Moca is operated by Copperstone Lending Inc., SEC Registration No. 2021050012959-04, which matches entry No. 13 of the SEC's recorded online lending platforms list dated January 26, 2026. The company publishes Certificate of Authority No. 3454 in its app listing and corporate site; no public CA registry for lending companies exists to verify that number independently. Checked September 16, 2026.
Is Moca Moca legit ba or scam?
The real app is legitimate: a registered lending company with a recorded platform, confirmed by the SEC in December 2025 and again in August 2026. The danger is imitation. On May 18, 2026 the SEC named three fake websites and an unregulated iOS app using the brand; the complaints behind that advisory were not Moca Moca's transactions, per the company's confirmation.
What is Moca Moca interest rate?
The maximum annual interest rate is 20%, plus a service fee of 5% to 10% charged upon repayment. The listing's example: ₱5,000 for 180 days at 10% APR with a 10% fee costs ₱246 in interest plus a ₱500 fee, repaid as ₱5,746 in six monthly payments of ₱957.
Is Moca Moca on App Store?
No. There is no official iOS version. The SEC's May 18, 2026 advisory called an iOS application using the MocaMoca branding unregulated, and that listing has since been removed. The only official app is com.mocamoca on Google Play.
The verdict: who should consider the Moca Moca loan app
- You want a 3-to-6-month installment loan without collateral. This is the fit. A 20% APR cap, disclosed fees, and up to ₱50,000 make it one of the cleaner registered options for planned repayment. Confirm your fee percentage in-app first.
- You are optimizing for price. The interest cap is genuinely low for this niche, but the fee dominates short terms: about 40 annualized points at 91 days by our math. Compare total cost in our low-interest ranking first.
- Someone sent you a link to buklodservices.com, flowforthventures.com, or jitsconstruction.com, or an iOS app called Moca Moca. Stop. Those are the exact channels the SEC's May 2026 advisory named. Enter only through Google Play or mocamocatech.com.
- You need money for only 30 days. The shortest term is 91 days. MoneyCat's 0% first loan fits a one-month bridge better.
One honest caveat to close. Penalties lifted in December 2025, registration current, an August 2026 greenlight still fresh. The paper record is solid. The impostors are the real risk, and we re-check after every SEC advisory.
Legit ba? The registration is. Make sure the app on your phone is the one that holds it.
